Artikel 1276 des Zivilgesetzbuches der Russischen Föderation in der Fassung vom 1. Oktober 2014 erlaubt die Wiedergabe von „Werken der Architektur, des Städtebaus und der Garten- und Landschaftskunst“ auch ohne Zustimmung des Rechteinhabers, sofern diese Werke sich „an einem für den freien Zugang offenen Ort befinden oder von diesem Ort aus sichtbar sind“. Bei anderen Kunstwerken wie z.B. Skulpturen oder Gedenktafeln, auch wenn diese sich permanent an öffentlich zugänglichen Orten befinden, gilt die analoge Regelung nur für die Wiedergabe für nicht-kommerzielle Zwecke.
